This moisture removal is the key to inhibiting the growth of microbes and bacteria which leads to spoilage, nutrient lose, and flavor/color change. Removing moisture also concentrates the nutrients and flavor. For this particular line of FD™ Sprout Mixes, the ratio of fresh to dried product is 3:1. It takes 3 pounds of fresh sprouts to make 1 pound of FD™ Sprouts.

Freshly Freeze Dried Powders of Organic Broccoli Sprouts and Organic Kale Sprouts
Freeze dried products have about 2% water content which is the key to shelf-life extension. We recommend keeping products in a cool, dry place like a pantry or cupboard. Although not required, refrigeration will ensure an even extended shelf-life and nutrient preservation.
You may easily mix one serving or more in a glass of water, juice or add to a smoothie.
It can also be added to cooked products like soups, stews, and more but we recommended adding it at time of serving to avoid denaturing of vital compounds.
Another great use is either directly on salads or our favorite in salad dressings.
