This weekend is all about celebrating that very special woman in our lives: Mom! From being a shoulder to cry on to lending a hand in need, she’s always there for us.
Our favorite way to show her how grateful we are? A delicious treat, of course!
We chose to use one of the best staples out there for this one – it’s a crowd pleaser! Cacao powder is one of the best superfoods for women, since it’s loaded with antioxidants to protect against free radicals. It’s also a great source of minerals to support bone health and nutrients to help lower cardiovascular disease and reduce stress.
Here’s a healthy recipe you can whip up on Sunday in just a few simple steps:
Chocolate Mother’s Day Mousse
- 1 avocado
- 1 banana
- 3 tablespoons Organic Coconut Oil
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 4 tablespoons Organic Raw Cacao Powder
- 1/4 teaspoon sea salt
- Optional toppings: fruit, Organic Cacao Nibs or Organic Coconut Flakes
Place all ingredients into a food processor or blender and combine until smooth and creamy. Spoon the mixture into individual serving dishes and refrigerate for one hour before serving. Top with fruit, cacao nibs, coconut flakes or any other desired items. Enjoy!
